Dutch Daydreams in Missouri?? Believe It!!

If someone told you a field full of technicolor tulips, a flower-crowned bride, and a windmill would be just 30 minutes from Kansas City, you’d probably say, “Sure… and I bet there’s stroopwafel at the concession stand too.” But surprise!! It’s real. It’s magical. And yes, we were all in for this styled shoot at The Fun Farm in Kearney, MO.

The Invitation Suite

This one was for the romantics. The kind of bride who grew up watching fairy tales, doodling tulips in the margins of her notebooks, and dreaming of Dutch folk art. Our custom invitation suite brought all that whimsy to life—with scalloped edges, hand-painted floral details, and a palette pulled straight from a blooming field.

We even tucked in a little Delft blue windmill charm (because who wouldn’t want their wedding stationery to come with its own ceramic accessory??). And yes, we fully leaned into the folklore-meets-modern moment!!

Styled Shoot Details

This shoot was like stepping into a sun-drenched European dream. Rows and rows of tulips in every color imaginable, flower crowns that would make any Renaissance fair jealous, and a bride and groom who looked like they belonged in a painting.

We kept the invitation design playful but elevated—perfect for outdoor spring weddings, garden celebrations, or couples who love a good seasonal moment. It’s a great example of how custom wedding invitations can capture your venue, your style, and your vibe in a way that stock templates just can’t.

Why It Works for Modern Brides

Sure, not everyone is getting married in a tulip field next to a windmill (but honestly… you should consider it). Still, this suite proves that with the right design, your invitations can feel like a true extension of your day. Whether your wedding is in the middle of Missouri or a vineyard in Tuscany, the right colors, textures, and illustrations can make it feel like you.
