Wedding Invitations Kansas City
Hi, I’m Lauren.
Letterpress printer, stationery designer, and the person who will absolutely talk you into a fourth ink color.
I design and print Kansas City wedding invitations from my studio in a small town outside the city, on a 1905 Chandler & Price letterpress I run almost every night. Every suite starts from a blank page and gets pressed into thick paper one sheet at a time. Getting married downtown, out in the country, or across the country? Your invitations still get made right here in Kansas.
For couples with a 400-pin Pinterest board and no idea how to turn it into paper.
What Working With Me Is Actually Like
Spoiler: it’s fun.
I design every suite from scratch and print it myself, so you’re not playing telephone between a designer, a print shop, and a calligrapher. You talk to me. I handle the wording, the design, the printing, the addressing, and the mailing.
Your guests open something that feels like you. You get to skip the part where you assemble 150 envelopes at your kitchen table.
I started with calligraphy in 2018, and it slowly took over my life. Now it’s letterpress, sculpted emboss, die cutting, and a lot of opinions about paper weight. I work best with couples who want color, texture, and something nobody at the wedding has seen before.
Let’s make some paper nobody throws away

I only take on a limited number of couples each year, because every suite is printed by one person on one very old press.
Things You Didn’t Ask About
I’m actually a wildlife biologist. Right after college I moved to Garden City, out in western Kansas, and spent long days in the field studying birds and bats. In the evenings I needed something creative, found hand lettering, and fell headfirst into stationery.
These days I’m half nature nerd, half paper nerd. Happy to talk about your wedding or bat behavior, sometimes in the same meeting.

My husband and I own Salt Block Beef, a grass-fed cattle business we started in 2021. He’s the rancher. I’m the one cheering him on in boots that are more decorative than functional. We’re slowly building our dream farm in the middle of nowhere, and yes, Highland cows are on the wish list.

I also run Lo + Pop Woodshop with my dad, a master carpenter. It started when I convinced him to build fancy dog kennels for my Frenchies, Dill and Pickle. Now we build custom signage and large-scale wedding pieces. Our son, Cord, showed up in June 2024, so now everything gets designed, printed, built, and farmed on a little less sleep.
