Interesting things about me..

II’m actually a wildlife biologist! Right after college, I packed up and moved to western Kansas, Garden City, to be exact, to kick off my career. I spent long days in the field studying wildlife (mostly birds and bats!), but in the evenings, I found myself craving something creative. That’s when I stumbled into the world of hand lettering and fell headfirst into stationery.

Now, I blend both sides of myself – the nature-lover and the designer. I love thoughtful textures, botanical details, and meaningful storytelling through paper. That creative spark eventually became The Suite Studio, where I now specialize in designing Kansas City wedding invitations that feel personal, artful, and full of personality. Whether we’re chatting about your wedding or animal behavior, I’m all ears and always down to talk about both.

My husband and I own Salt Block Beef, a grass-fed cattle business we started in 2021. He’s the rancher; I’m the one cheering him on (with boots that are usually more decorative than functional). We’re slowly building our dream farm out in the middle of nowhere—and yes, Highland cows are absolutely on the wish list. Now with a baby in the mix, life’s a little wilder, messier, and a whole lot sweeter!

I also run a small woodworking business with my dad called Lo + Pop Woodshop. He’s a master carpenter; I’m the one who convinced him to build fancy dog kennels for my Frenchies, Dill and Pickle. What started as a creative side hustle is now one of my favorite outlets. We create everything from custom signage to large-scale wedding pieces.. Our family grew again in June ’24 when we welcomed our son, Cord. Now we build with even more love (and a little less sleep).
